Altermatt Farms

Verellen Orchards

Ashton Orchards Cider Mill

Cook’s Farm Dairy

Cook’s has been serving the metro Detroit area since 1933, and in October families can enjoy hayrides to the pumpkin patch to pick their own pumpkins. Then, stay for a donut or try seasonal ice cream flavors like caramel apple and pumpkin crunch. Pumpkins are also available for sale in their pavilion, where families should wear masks.
Diehl’s Orchard and Cider Mill

Diehl’s pre-picks the apples and has created a walk-up window for coronavirus safety precautions. Ciderfest 2020 will be held 9 a.m.-6 p.m. Sept. 26-27, and the Ciderfest Run has gone virtual (see website to sign up). The Corn Maze opens Sept. 12.
Erwin Orchards, Inc.

Enjoy traditional cider and donuts, then head to the family-friendly corn maze, find pumpkins (late September), and pick from any of the eight varieties of apples.
Franklin Cider Mill

Check the mill’s Facebook page or website to learn what is being picked each week from the 25 varieties of apples. The family says that this season, which starts Sept. 5, will look a little different, with redesigned outdoor sales. Online sales will be offered to avoid waiting in lines and the 1832 working mill will not be opened this year to customers. A smooth jazz player will return on weekends for families that remain in Franklin Village.
Goodison Cider Mill

Cider and doughnuts are lures in addition to over a dozen varieties of apples. After a late-spring frost, U-pick season has been moved to pre-picked for customers to purchase. You can select your own pumpkin.
Wiard’s Orchards & Country Fair

The fall season of apples, pumpkins and fair will open Sept. 12. Families can enjoy the corn maze with the cost of admission, which also includes the family play areas, wagon rides, mini golf, wagon rides and more. A late frost impacted the apple crop so some varieties may only be available in the store. Pre-purchasing tickets online is highly recommended. Mini golf clubs will be sanitized between uses and on-stage singers will have one-time-use caps on the microphones. Capacity inside the store will be reduced for best social distancing, which could increase wait times. Masks are required in high-traffic areas where social distancing isn’t possible, but are not required outdoors in the field when six feet from other customers.
Wayne County
Apple Charlie’s

The 95-acre farm has u-pick home grown apples and in late September the pumpkins will be ready. U-pick season will be smaller because of a late-spring frost, but families can enjoy the petting farm that includes an ostrich and pigmy goat. Pre-packaged plain donuts will be available in the shop with sugar you can add yourself. Masks are required in the buildings, but not in the fields unless social distancing can not be maintained. Homemade pies and cookies are also on the menu in the store.
DeBuck’s Corn Maze and Pumpkin Patch
