Henry Ford Museum of American Innovation to Reopen with Marvel Exhibit

Are you missing afternoons at one of your favorite historical hotpots? Good news: your wait is almost over.

The Henry Ford Museum of American Innovation and Greenfield Village are preparing to reopen to members July 2-5, with a public reopening July 9-12 and then the launch of the newest temporary exhibit, Marvel: Universe of Super Heroes, on July 16.

In addition to shortened hours of 9:30 a.m.-5 p.m. Thursdays-Sundays and limited hands-on experiences, museum staff are enforcing several safety protocols to keep everyone safe from potential COVID-19 transmission.

Among these protocols are social distancing measures and a “Mask On – Mask Off” policy, which requires guests to wear a mask in all venues and keep it on unless a 6-feet distance is maintained.

Free paper masks will be available at key entrances to the museum and cloth masks are available for purchase in the museum gift shop.

In addition, guests are required to purchase tickets and make museum reservations ahead of their visit, and are encouraged to wash their hands often throughout their stay.

Rouge River Factory Tours and the Giant Screen Experience will remain closed for the first few weeks of the museum’s reopening.
