Best Family Movies and Shows That Just Hit Streaming Services in November

The holidays are coming early in the streaming universe! If you feel it’s too early to jump into the holiday season, don’t worry, there is plenty of other new content to watch with your family. Here are some great new shows and movies streaming this month.

The Mighty Ones — Hulu, Nov. 9

This new animated series follows a group of tiny creatures — a twig, a pebble, a leaf and a strawberry. Watch to see what kind of wacky adventures they get into while exploring a messy backyard.

Trash Truck — Netflix, Nov. 10 

Got a toddler obsessed with the garbage truck? He or she will have to watch this new Netflix Jr. series. Six-year-old Hank and his buddy, Trash Truck, explore the world together, along with a few other friends. Just wait until your kiddo sees Trash Truck fly!  

Jingle Jangle: A Christmas Journey ­— Netflix, Nov. 13

Netflix is not holding back on its holiday content, and Jingle Jangle: A Christmas Journey should be on top of your watch list. This musical story follows Jeronicus Jangle, a legendary toymaker, and his granddaughter as they rediscover some holiday magic through a long-forgotten invention.

I Am Greta — Hulu, Nov. 13

This new Hulu documentary focuses on teenage climate activist Greta Thunberg. Your whole family can learn more about her story and how her voice has reached world leaders. If you want to learn more about Greta, we suggest you check out the book, Greta’s Story.

Lego Star Wars Holiday Special — Disney+, Nov. 17

While you’re waiting for the next episode of The Mandalorian on Disney+, your Star Wars-obsessed family can get into holiday spirit as your favorite characters celebrate Life Day. Rumor has it, Rey will battle Darth Vader.

The Wonderful World of Mickey Mouse ­— Disney+, Nov. 18

New Mickey Mouse shorts are about to drop on Disney+. The new series, The Wonderful World of Mickey Mouse, will feature new weekly episodes with the first one premiering on Nov. 18. Hard-core Disney fans will recognize stories inspired by Disney parks.

Animaniacs (2020) ­— Hulu, Nov. 20

Yes, that’s right, the Animaniacs are back. This all-new series brings back your favorite zany characters with a modern twist. While you’ll hear some recent pop culture references – like online dating and Beyoncé – we hope this reboot has the same charm as the ‘90s series.

The Christmas Chronicles: Part 2 — Netflix, Nov. 25

Kurt Russell is back as Santa Claus. This holiday season, the star that protects the North Pole is stolen and Christmas is doomed. It’s up to Kate, and her mom’s new boyfriend’s son, Jack, to help save the day.
